Notice is hereby given that the Director of Public Works will hold a remote public hearing via teleconference to consider the item(s) listed below and that said public hearing will be held as follows:

2. Public Comment                                  
Members of the public may address the hearing officer on matters that are within the department’s jurisdiction but not on today’s agenda.   

3. Order No. 205975                                   595 Market St.
To consider the removal of two (2) street trees with replacement adjacent to the property. Public Works staff approved removal and the public has protested.

4. Order No. 205979                                   2265 Union St.
To consider the removal of two (2) street trees without replacement adjacent to the property. Public Works staff denied the request and the applicant has appealed.

5. Order No. 205980                                   390 Page St.
To consider the removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to the property. The subject tree is on Page St., closest to the corner. Public Works staff approved removal and the public has protested.

6. Order No. 205981                                   200 Rhode Island St.
To consider the removal of four (4) street trees with replacement of seventeen (17) street trees. Public Works staff denied the request and the applicant has appealed

7. Order No. 205982                                   1180 Evans Ave.
To consider the removal of fourteen (14) street trees with replacement of five (5) street trees along the Evans Ave. and Jennings St. frontages (future site of the PG&E substation). Public Works staff denied the removal of six (6) trees and the applicant has appealed. Staff approved the removal of eight (8) street trees and the public has protested.

Until further notice, Public Works hearings will be held through videoconferencing and will provide for remote public comment.

As the COVID-19 virus situation evolves, please visit the Public Works website (sfpublicworks.org) regularly to be updated on the current situation as it affects public hearings and the department.

Persons unable to participate in the videoconference may submit written comments regarding the subject matter to Bureau of Urban Forestry at 49 South Van Ness Ave. Suite 1000 94103 or urbanforestry@sfdpw.org. Comments received before the hearing will be brought to the attention of the hearing officer and made a part of the official public record. Individuals who wish to speak at the hearing and who want to use materials such as PowerPoint files, documents and photo images in their presentations must send the materials to Bureau of Urban Forestry via email at urbanforestry@sfdpw.org by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing. If attendees access the webinar via a computer, they will able to share documents themselves via the “share screen” functionality.
