10-24-2022 Public Works Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Director of Public Works will hold a remote public hearing via teleconference to consider the item(s) listed below and that said public hearing will be held as follows:

Members of the public may address the hearing officer on matters that are within the department’s jurisdiction but not on today’s agenda.

3. Hearing Order 207221                               

To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement at 175 Grand View Ave. (Staff denied the removal and the applicant has appealed)

4. Hearing Order 207222                               

To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement at 3312 Clay St. (Staff denied the removal and the applicant has appealed)

5. Hearing Order 207223                               

To consider the removal of thirty-eight (38) Rec & Park trees at 700 Minnesota St. with replacement of thirty-five (35) trees along four frontages at Indiana St, Minnesota St, 19th St and 20th St. (Staff approved the removals and the public protested)

Persons unable to participate in the videoconference may submit written comments regarding the subject matter to Bureau of Urban Forestry at 49 South Van Ness Ave. Suite 1000, San Francisco, CA 94103 or urbanforestry@sfdpw.org. Comments received before the hearing will be brought to the attention of the hearing officer and made a part of the official public record. Individuals who wish to speak at the hearing and who want to use materials such as PowerPoint files, documents and photo images in their presentations must send the materials to Bureau of Urban Forestry via email at urbanforestry@sfdpw.org by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing. If attendees access the webinar via a computer, they will able to share documents themselves via the “share screen” functionality.
