6-15-2022 Public Works Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Director of Public Works will hold a remote public hearing via teleconference to consider the item(s) listed below and that said public hearing will be held as follows:

Members of the public may address the hearing officer on matters that are within the department’s jurisdiction but not on today’s agenda.   

3. Hearing Order 206632  
To consider an appeal from the property owner for the fine issued for illegal pruning of one (1) street tree adjacent to 2739 Octavia St. The fine levied for the illegal pruning is $2,230.00

4. Hearing Order 206635 
To consider an appeal from the property owner for the fine issued for illegal pruning of one (1) street trees adjacent to 298 Cordova St. The fine levied for the illegal pruning is $2,230.00

5. Hearing Order 206636  
To consider an appeal from the property owner for the fine issued for illegal removal of two (2) street trees adjacent to 30 Chaves Ave. The fine levied for the illegal removal is $20,000.00

In accordance with numerous local and State proclamations, orders and supplemental directions regarding theCOVID-19 virus, Public Works hearings are held through videoconferencing and will provide for remote public comment.

As the COVID-19 virus situation evolves, please visit the Public Works website (sfpublicworks.org) regularly to be updated on the current situation as it affects public hearings and the department.

Persons unable to participate in the videoconference may submit written comments regarding the subject matter to Bureau of Urban Forestry at 49 South Van Ness Ave. Suite 1000, San Francisco, CA 94103 or urbanforestry@sfdpw.org. Comments received before the hearing will be brought to the attention of the hearing officer and made a part of the official public record. Individuals who wish to speak at the hearing and who want to use materials such as PowerPoint files, documents and photo images in their presentations must send the materials to Bureau of Urban Forestry via email at urbanforestry@sfdpw.org by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing. If attendees access the webinar via a computer, they will be able to share documents themselves via the “share screen” functionality.
