Notice is hereby given that the Director of Public Works will hold a remote public hearing via teleconference to consider the item(s) listed below and that said public hearing will be held as follows:

2. Public Comment

Members of the public may address the hearing officer on matters that are within the department’s jurisdiction but not on today’s agenda.

3. Hearing Order 207484                      

To consider applications for minor sidewalk encroachment permits for the following locations:  

• 21 Joy Street (19MSE-00591) for a new entry porch leading to public stairs encroaching into the unaccepted Joy Street public right of way (16 sq ft) per plan titled, "Grading Plan (9, 15, 21 Joy)" prepared by Luk and Associates, sheet C-4.1, plot date 2/9/21.
 
• 9 Joy Street: (19MSE-00592) for a new entry porch leading to public stairs encroaching into the unaccepted Joy Street public right of way (118 sq ft) per plan titled, "Grading Plan (9, 15, 21 Joy)" prepared by Luk and Associates, sheet C-4.1, plot date 2/9/21.
 
• 15 Joy Street (19MSE-00593) for a new entry porch leading to public stairs encroaching into the unaccepted Joy Street public right of way (66 sq ft) per plan titled, "Grading Plan (9, 15, 21 Joy)" prepared by Luk and Associates, sheet C-4.1, plot date 2/9/21.
 

4. Hearing Order 207486                      

To consider the Mission Rock Project (3rd Street and Mission Rock Street; Final Map PID 9443), Modifications to Order 203637 Regarding LCC Monitoring Plan and Performance Criteria. Subdivider of the Mission Rock Project (3rd Street and Mission Rock Street; Final Map PID 9443) (“Project”) submitted a request to modify Order 203637 pertaining to the monitoring and performance criteria of the Lightweight Cellular Concrete (LCC). Proposed amendments would replace the piezometer type for groundwater monitoring and amend leak detection criteria for pressurized utilities.

In accordance with numerous local and State proclamations, orders, and supplemental directions regarding the COVID-19 virus, Public Works hearings are held through videoconferencing and will provide for remote public comment.

As the COVID-19 virus situation evolves, please visit the Public Works website (sfpublicworks.org) regularly to be updated on the current situation as it affects public hearings and the department.

For Order No. 207484: Persons unable to participate in the videoconference may submit written comments regarding the subject matter to Eric.Lam@sfdpw.org.

Comments received before the hearing will be brought to the attention of the hearing officer and/or made part of the official public record. Individuals who wish to speak at the hearing shall be prepared with materials such as PowerPoint files, documents and photo images as part of their presentation. If attendees access the webinar via a computer, they will be able to share documents themselves via the “share screen” functionality.
