Tree Hearing

In accordance with Gov. Gavin Newson’s statewide order for all residents to shelter in place and the numerous local and state proclamations, orders and supplemental directions aggressive directives have been issued to slow down and reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Therefore, Public Works hearings that are held through videoconferencing will allow remote public comment. As the COVID-19 disease progresses, please visit the Public Works website (sfpublicworks.org) regularly to be updated on the current situation as it affects public hearings and the department.

Notice is hereby given that the Director of Public Works will hold a remote public hearing via teleconference to consider the item(s) listed below and that said public hearing will be held as follows:

2. Order No. 203368

To consider removal of two (2) street trees with replacement adjacent to 2401-2403 Keith St. One tree is located on the Keith St. frontage, the other tree is located on the Bancroft frontage. This is related to the expansion of the Southeast Health Center (SEHC) and Behavioral Health Integration Project.

 

3. Order No. 203369

To consider removal of four (4) street trees with replacement located within the Sunset Blvd Greenway.   Three trees are across from 2001 37th and one is across from 2101 37th Ave.


4. Order No. 203371

To consider removal of thirteen (13) trees with replacement located along Bay Shore Blvd. (“1900”) above the 3rd St. off ramp, as part of the Bayview Gateway Project. The trees are located on block lot 5017 018, owned by Public Works, and/or within the public right-of-way adjacent to this property.

 

5. Order No. 203372

To consider removal of three (3) significant trees on private property at 1000 Lombard Street (at the Leavenworth frontage). The subject trees are located above the sidewalk along the Leavenworth frontage. One significant tree will be replaced and two replacement street trees planted in empty/ new basins.

 

6. Order No. 203373

To consider removal of three (3) street trees with replacement adjacent to 1298 Howard St. The Chinese elm trees are located on the 9th St. frontage

 

7. Order No. 203374

To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement within the Tulare St. public right-of-way, on the east side of 3rd St. near the Islais Creek Bridge (referred to as “2” Tulare St. in previous posting notices)

 

8. Order No. 203375

To consider removal of three (3) street trees without replacement adjacent to 1910 Baker St.

 

9. Order No. 203376

To consider removal of three (3) trees at 2760 Divisadero St with replacement. The trees are located on the Green St. frontage.

 

10. Order No. 203377

To consider removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 20 Osceola Ln. Removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 2 George Ct.

Removal of one (1) street tree without replacement adjacent to 1194 La Salle Ave.

Removal of one (1) street tree with replacement adjacent to “218” Cashmere St.

Removal of two (2) street trees without replacement adjacent to “2” Dukes Ct.

Removal of one (1) street tree with replacement adjacent to 1535 Newcomb Ave.

This order supersedes order #203084 for a May 11, 2020 tree hearing, and order #203177 for a June 1st tree hearing.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Persons unable to participate in the videoconference may submit written comments regarding the subject matter to: Public Works-Urban Forestry, 49 South Van Ness Ave, Suite 1000, San Francisco, CA 94103 or urbanforestry@sfdpw.org. Comments received before the hearing will be brought to the attention of the hearing officer and made a part of the official public record. Individuals who wish to speak at the hearing and who want to use materials such as PowerPoint files, documents and photo images in their presentations must send the materials to the Bureau of Urban Forestry via email at urbanforestry@sfdpw.org by 5 p.m. the day before the hearing.
